Fighting the so-called war on terror with conventional weapons and tactics is like trying to rid your home of termites with a shotgun. In our case, when the shotgun didn't work, our leaders (democratic and republican) concluded that what they needed was a bigger shotgun. With all due respect to our military personnel, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been disastrous. It is time to end them, bring the troops home, and develop more sensible strategies.

really? what are they really fighting for? another war? well okay, this war is done... then you have another war, and another and another. For god's sake! we are in the 21st century! we are far more civilized than our forefathers. If we can't handle a dispute by talking it out, that we can't handle it at all. My family has been in the army for 25 generations! I'm ending this streak on our side of the family. You aren't savages.

if you dont like the war bitch to congress, soldiers are fighting for their and your lives, if you can spend time complaining spend it writing cards or thank you letters for keeping you safe. think about that while you are at your 9-5 sitting in front of a computer dodging spam not bullets.look at the smilies it is funny/COOL...idiots. congress passes the right to go to war, the president cannot mobilize anything as large as this war so yes he is an idiot but so is congress. freedom of speech is one thing but if you complain about soldiers just doing what you are too much of a pussy to do; to FIGHT for your beliefs; move to Canada or be useful and be a human shield for our people on the front lines.

Wow. This is quite a charged comment section. I know it's awfully cliche of me to say, but support the troops, not the war. I have several friends who have been to Iraq, and one that's there now (well, I believe he's actually in Qatar this time). None of them WANTED to be there, they're just doing their jobs. Except for the one in Qatar right now, he's on his 5th tour...

I appreciate the sacrifices of America's soldiers as much as the next guy, but this picture is a straightforward political statement, and not at all humorous; so I think it's off-topic for this site.
