100 years ago there was no demand that we have the most expensive military in the world. We did not have military bases in Europe. We didn't spend over a million dollars on a single piece of military equipment, only to scrap it in a few years as "outdated." Seems to me that has a bit more to do with our national debt than mothers going to work.
